Careem’s GO and WiFi (an Update)

After the revision of rates a few days back, Careem has now expanded itself with the introduction of two new classes of cars.  In a recently released patch of the application, along with the old classes of cars, two new options of GO and Wifi cars have been introduced.

It was perplexing to see, no any, pre or post launch promotion of the GO category. Whereas the Wifi category did receive a post launch promotion but a meagre one.
According to a Careem representative, different hatchback cars (Mostly of Japanese origin) are part of the GO fleet, whereas certain cars from business class have been upgraded with the facility of wireless internet and have been added to the fleet of Wifi-cars.

Cars of the Wifi category, have the same fare division as of the Business class. Whereas, the rates of GO cars are lesser than that of the Economy division. The fare distribution of both the newly introduced categories are as follows,

• NOW BOOKINGS:
  • GO : (Base Fare= 100rs) + (Per KM Fare= 15rs) + (Waiting[If any] Per Hour Fare= 300rs)

**Minimum fare for the ride 150rs

• Wi-Fi : (Base Fare= 160rs) + (Per KM Fare= 23rs) + (Waiting[If any] Per Hour Fare= 370rs)

**Minimum fare for the ride 250rs

• LATER BOOKINGS:
  • GO : **LATER BOOKINGS ARE NOT AVAILABLE IN THE GO CATEGORY**

• Wi-Fi : (Base Fare= 320rs) + (Per KM Fare= 23rs) + (Waiting[If any] Per Hour Fare= 370)

**Minimum fare for the ride 500rs

With the expansion and introduction of two new categories, it still remains to be seen, whether CAREEM will be able to reach out and engage the masses furthermore, or not.
